green dress
Pattern: Butterick 3731 (vintage)
Fabric: green suede, wrong side out(!) with a purchased lace collar
Construction Notes: This is a simple dress, with an A-line skirt, band at the midriff, gathered bust, and raglan sleeves. It fastens by a zipper in the back.
Miscellaneous Ramblings: This dress was made in autumn 2004, and most of the sewing was done by my mother. I was inspired by these two dresses. I really wanted a sage green fabric like the one on the left; However, I couldn't find anything so we had to make do. :) The pattern is a vintage one from my mom's collection, and even though it's from the '70s, I think the dress has a '40s look to it.
