Cherubino's military uniform Pattern(s): Simplicity 4923 Fabric: various home decorating fabrics Construction Notes: The jacket is unlined. It features faux buttonholes and faux pockets. The vest is lined with cotton and has a simple construction, though I made a few modifications as per the director's request (mostly cutting the back from the fashion fabric and adding some length to the back piece). The breeches are made from a simple elastic-waist pants pattern (I can't remember which one; the director lent it to me very briefly) with the legs cut off below the knee and gathered into elastic. Miscellaneous Ramblings: I made this costume (Jacket, vest, and breeches) for a production of The Marriage of Figaro. The costume had to fit two different actresses but happily, they were very similar in measurements! back
