1930s slip
Pattern: Folkwear #219
Fabric: beige crepe-back satin
Construction Notes: This slip is bias-cut and is the exact same, front and back. Therefore it goes together pretty simply. For my slip, I used the satin side of the fabric for the facing and straps -- I finished off the facing edges nicely and used it on the outside for a little something different.
Miscellaneous Ramblings: The instructions do not mention this, but next time I would staystitch some of the edges, particularly where the insets and skirt meet, and the long edges that will be joined at the sides. I had to take it in a bit at the waist after the fabric stretched.
I made this specifically to wear with my 1930s "Victoria" dress, but it'll be a nice addition to my 1930s wardrobe.
